Former teammate Shaquille O’Neal was brought to tears Tuesday night while remembering his friend Kobe Bryant during a tribute on TNT.
In the midst of grieving, O’Neal strongly debated canceling his upcoming Super Bowl party in Miami. He’s finally made the decision to move forward, sharing, “Kobe would want us to push through and celebrate life.”
O’Neil wrote. “So lets do just that. I’ll be dedicating and donating all my proceeds from Friday nights Fun House to all the families who lost loved ones and to the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Foundation.
The Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation’s mission is to improve the lives of youth and families in need, both domestically and globally.
Vanessa Bryant has also spoken out recently to thank everyone for their prayers and to also share that the foundation will be honoring the Team Mamba family with a MambaOnThree Fund—to help support the other families affected by the tragedy.
Also, according to WTHR13, StubHub also announced that it will be donating all of the ticket sales fees for the upcoming Lakers-Trail Blazers game Friday to the foundation.
