Despite Newton’s foot injury this football season, it’s still not stopping the QB from passing along joy for the holidays.
During Sunday’s game against the Seahawks, Cam bussed 10 kids and their families from Levine Children’s Hospital to watch the game in a private suite at the Bank of America Stadium.
The festivities were all part of his 8th annual “Christmas with Cam” event. During the game, the children got to watch the game with Cam Newton himself! For several of the special guests, it was their first NFL experience.
The event was filled with game day excitement, holiday cheer and complimentary snacks. They also received a special visit from Santa Claus and were gifted their very own No. 1 jerseys, personalized on the back with their last names!
This was all thanks to Newton and his foundation, the Cam Newton Foundation. Where it’s mission is to ensure that children’s socioeconomic, educational, physical and emotional needs are enhanced.
According to Atrium Health: This was an extra special event for patient, Andrea (below right), who was accompanied to the game by her occupational therapist, Emily Caveny.
Emily shared: “A big thank you and congratulations to Cam Newton, the Panthers Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee, for arranging this day with these incredible kiddos! It’s memories like these that our patients and their families will cherish forever.”
Although the game ended in minor defeat, every child still left out feeling like a champion and Cam Newton was undeniably their MVP!
