Cam Newton Provided Meals for 1,300 Kids at 8th Annual Thanksgiving Jam

Cam Newton displayed true resilience and leadership off the field by bringing joy to hundreds of families before the holiday.
Monday night on November 25th, the quarterback hosted the 8th Annual Cam’s Thanksgiving Jam, where he treated over 1,300 underprivileged children and their families to an all-out feast.
The kids were also treated to games, a live DJ, face-painting and balloons to bring home after the event. Mr. Newton also made sure they all guests got a second full Thanksgiving meal to make at home.
Cam is currently on injured reserve with a Lisfranc injury. Although he misses the thousands who watch him play every fall—he certainly put smiles on every face by serving food and taking numerous selfies with his young admirers.
“Just interacting with fans, that’s the part that you miss the most going through the rehabilitation process. At the same time, you know you’re affecting lives and doing it for a great cause.”
Newton thanked them for “helping me fix my issue.” Fans can’t heal a foot sprain, but they can lift an injured quarterback’s spirits.
This is just one of many reason why Cam Newton will always be #1.
