DJ Khaled Donating 100% Of Proceeds Of New Song “Higher” To Nipsey Hussle’s Children
DJ Khaled honors Nipsey Hussle by releasing their new joint track and video “Higher.” The two collaborated on the song, shortly before the rapper’s tragic death.
The megaproducer announced on Twitter that the late rapper’s family gave him their blessing to release the track, and as a result, Khaled said he would be donating “100 percent” of proceeds to Hussle’s children — son Kross, 2, and Emani, 10.
John Legend, who was also featured on the record, posted: “Proud to be a part of this inspiring record with djkhaled and Nipsey Hussle, we lost him too soon. The proceeds will go to his loved ones.”
Khaled deeply shared: “Recently, I embarked on a soul-searching journey down a road I never thought I would travel in a million years. It began when a tragedy robbed the world of an enlightened soul, a brother, a father, a partner and my friend Nipsey Hussle.”
